Multicultural

AGAPE

Agape is a student-run club dedicated to celebrating Christianity within the walls of Niles North. We meet after school to worship, do Bible study, encourage each other and pray together. It is a great time to pray for our school, apply our faith to our school lives and bond with fellow believers.  Everyone is welcome, teachers included!

ASSYRIAN 

To learn more about the Assyrian culture and enjoy cultural experiences in a positive club environment.  Learn dances, share fun and contribute to each member’s knowledge and practice of Assyrian ethnicity.  Club members participate in International Night and Winter Party.

BLACK STUDENT UNION

The Black Student Union promotes the sharing of our culture and history.  It is a great opportunity to extend camaraderie and to stress unity among the black students at Niles North.  Educational and social programs are held during the year to celebrate African-American culture and history.

CHINESE

This club is designed to create cultural awareness and educational activities for students and faculty about the culture and language of the Chinese people.  Activities include participation in International Night and other community events.  This club is open to all students of any race or nationality. The club has also been involved in community service projects. Club members participate in International Night and Winter Party.

FILIPINO

This club is designed to create cultural awareness and educational activities for students and faculty about the culture and language of the Philippines.  Members will participate in community events and International Night. Club members participate in International Night and Winter Party. This club is open to all students of any race or nationality.

FRENCH

The members of French Club have an interest and appreciation for all things French, including culture, food, movies, current events, fashion and wish to promote and enjoy the many contributions that France has made to the civilized world.  The group cooks, show movies, discuss, play games and do social activities including participating in school events to promote the study of French as a language. Members participate in International Night and Winter Party.

GERMAN 

German Club is a club that fosters a bridge between the German language and culture with our school community.   In German Club we experience a wide range of activities to those interested in learning more about German customs, language and the German-speaking countries.

HELLENIC 

The Hellenic Club promotes greater understanding of the rich cultural heritage of the Greeks in our community.  In addition to being active members of International Club, the Hellenic Club provides community service to other clubs and organizations in our community.  Membership is open to all.  Several members are not Greek in the Club. Members participate in International Night and Winter Party.

INDO-PAK

This club's vision is to strengthen the Indian-Pakistani cultural awareness of the club members and introduce this culture to the Niles North student body.  To achieve this goal, club members will be involved in discussions, presentations and guest lecturers on Indian and Pakistani culture, conflicts between cultures, and living in a western culture.  The club members are committed to become ambassadors of their culture.  The club will reach out to the community and be involved in community events.  In addition, club members will participate in International Night and all other cultural programs in the school

INTERNATIONAL

The International Club is an umbrella organization for the ethnic and language clubs in our school.  They sponsor activities to share cultural experiences and to build respect and tolerance for others.  Every other year they host International Night, which invites the entire Skokie area community.

Criteria for joining club: Members are chosen as representatives from the various cultural clubs. 


ISLAMIC  

The goal of Islamic Club is to create an inclusive and supportive environment open to all students who are interested in learning about Islam.  This club is open to all students and faiths.  Yearly forum provides education for students and staff.

ISRAELI

This club is designed to create cultural awareness and educational activities for students and faculty about the culture and language of Israel.  Celebrate the culture of Israel and participate in field trips, foreign exchange activities and International Night and Winter Party.  This Club is open to all students of any race or nationality.

KOREAN CLUB 

The goal of the Korean Club is to share our cultural heritage with the faculty, staff, and all students, in order to promote the overall awareness, appreciation and respect for the diversity that exists among the students at Niles North High School.  In accordance with this goal, members will participate in school activities such as the International Week as well as organizing and presenting group sponsored programs.  The Korean Club of Niles North High School is here to serve the school, the students and the community any way that shows our pride in Niles North High School.  We respect the rights of all and pursue to make a positive contribution to our future. Club members participate in International Night and Winter Party. This club is open to all students of any race, ethnicity and nationality.

LATINO CLUB

The Latino Club would like to invite everyone interested in learning and experiencing the Latino culture.  This year you will have the opportunity to promote awareness and understanding of one of the largest cultural groups in the country, while helping to build a sense of pride, scholarship and belonging among the Hispanic community of Niles North High School.  The activities we have planned are Café Latino Night, Bolero Dance Night, Bi-weekly film presentation and Spanish Book Drive. Club members participate in International Night and Winter Party.
